Description
English: Whale in red circle According to news reports: Rescue effort of the humpback whale off Poel Island, Germany, on Saturday, sponsored by private persons. A floating platform carries heavy machinery such as a dredger and serves as a working platform for the rescue. The whale was partly covered by cloth that contains ointment for its skin to heal. A sprinkler was set up to sprinkle the whale. Camera settings were broken so the exif time was off from the actual local time by roughly 1h40m, hence 1h40m was manually added to the time for Wikimedia Commons descriptions. Location of camera is not accurately estimated. Margin of error could be up to 200 meters.
