What do you feed your puppies&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;M.C.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Best Dog Foods, Treats, Toys&#8230;2023 Edition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>This list updated 1.2.20<\/em>23<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, I started putting this list together including Amazon&#8217;s Bestsellers (I did include some Amazon bestsellers) and found out the majority of Amazon&#8217;s bestsellers in he Doggy Department are real duds!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead I&#8217;m just going to include what I use with my dogs and in my limited experience these are the best dog foods, treats, toys, and other products for my puppies and dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without Further Adieu&#8230;LETS GET IT ON!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dog Food<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When I search for dog food I always visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dogfoodadvisor.com\">Dog Food Advisor<\/a> website for more information.&nbsp;They do a great job of rating different dog foods and there are a ton of reviews for most of the popular dog food products.&nbsp;You can also subscribe to get alerts when companies announce recalls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the dog foods I&#8217;m feeding my dogs which all happen to be 5 star rated on the Dog Food Advisor website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2DVDswM\" rel=\"nofollow\">Orijen Original Dry Dog Food<\/a> &#8211; We recently started feeding Stetson and Raven Orijen Dog Food.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2CFSBxe\" rel=\"nofollow\">Wellness CORE Natural Grain Free Dry Dog Food &#8211; Original Formula<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; I feed the <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2BR8rse\" rel=\"nofollow\">Wellness Puppy Formula<\/a> to the littles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2HLxYmO\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Honest Kitchen Human Grade Dehydrated Organic Grain Dog Food<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; We use this similar to a topper for Linus&#8217; meals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2GHwOrh\" rel=\"nofollow\">Nature&#8217;s Variety Instinct Raw Boost<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; Archer&#8217;s breeder started him on Nature&#8217;s Variety.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>UPDATE:<\/strong> When feeding our dogs we plan on rotating through different high quality dog foods throughout the year.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Treats &amp; Chews<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We actually had all 3 of these on our Amazon Subscription. Needless to say the doggies were pleased!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B0CQQP3X7P\/?tag=puppyintraining-20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">Beef Collagen Sticks<\/a> &#8211; these are a great chew alternative to bully sticks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B09C2KBD12?maas=maas_adg_64DBC507C69AEE27E9C8260C69B3F403_afap_abs&amp;ref_=aa_maas&amp;tag=maas\" rel=\"nofollow\">Bully Sticks<\/a> &#8211; Our dogs love them some bully sticks. We prefer the odor-free kind, but even the odorless bully sticks are stinky.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B0B9H9LLYZ?maas=maas_adg_FCDBEE3589FC6072CCA2B8C596B00A10_afap_abs&amp;ref_=aa_maas&amp;tag=maas\" rel=\"sponsored nofollow\">Yak Cheese Dog Chews<\/a> &#8211; Who doesn&#8217;t like cheese? My wife! But besides that everyone likes cheese, right? The pups love the Duck and Turkey formula!<\/del> They may have changed the formula, but the last couple times we purchased the Natural Balance Dog food rolls they were crumbly and not too good for training. All of our pet beds are elevated. I&#8217;m about functionality. Check out these 3 collars we like using with our pups:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2FFE3AV\" rel=\"nofollow\">Breakaway Dog Collar<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; Our friends just had an incident where her two dogs got caught up in their collars and nearly suffocated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2F630UZ\" rel=\"nofollow\">Mighty Paw Martingale Collar<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; We like Mighty Paw an this durable <a href=\"https:\/\/puppyintraining.com\/how-to-use-a-martingale-training-collar\/\">martingale<\/a> which has quick release buckle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2FEsSs7\" rel=\"nofollow\">Tazlab Safe-T-Stretch Collar<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; Similar to the breakaway collar this one stretches with elastic in case of emergencies.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Leashes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We use different leashes for different stages. Our little guys need lightweight (see #1), convertible leather leashes work best with our older dogs (see #2), and training requires long lines (see #3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2GRJpZf\" rel=\"nofollow\">Petsafe Nylon Dog Leash<\/a> &#8211; We get the lightest weigh smallest leashes for our puppies. Great for tossing treats, watching the pups, and the barking alert works great with our pack.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2F2wiYM\" rel=\"nofollow\">PetChatz<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; Our pals at Golden Woofs rave about their PetChatz. We don&#8217;t have one, but we could always use another puppy monitor!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2FGenDY\" rel=\"nofollow\">Petcube<\/a> &#8211; We saw this little gadget at BlogPaws. Don&#8217;t skimp out if you need a pet nail grinder. We&#8217;ve tried multiple &#8220;Pet&#8221; approved nail grinders (even the Dremel brand) and none met our expectations. Go with a higher end Dremel like the one I list below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2CQJUQF\" rel=\"nofollow\">FURminator<\/a> &#8211; We&#8217;ve had one for years and it&#8217;s great at moving the under coat just be careful not to overuse it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2CMCj5z\" rel=\"nofollow\">Dremel<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; Don&#8217;t go cheap and get one of those silly pet nail grinders. We have the Dremel 8220 and it&#8217;s awesome for trimming dog nails!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2FFd3Bh\" rel=\"nofollow\">Flea Comb<\/a> &#8211; When Linus was a wee pup we used a flea comb to remove hundreds of fleas. Today we still use it for early flea detection.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Puppy Training Books<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>So many great puppy training books. Here are 3 of my current favorites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2CPHRwt\" rel=\"nofollow\">Puppy Start Right<\/a> &#8211; More scientific then most of the books I&#8217;ve read. It will give you a solid foundation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B003L77CAU\/?tag=puppyintraining-20\" rel=\"nofollow\">Puppy Primer<\/a> &#8211; A very simple easy read. It&#8217;ll start you right on your puppy training journey. Required reading for CST puppy raisers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2CMDySh\" rel=\"nofollow\">Don&#8217;t Shoot The Dog<\/a> &#8211; I kind of feel like this should be required reading not just for dog training, but for life skills.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Is there anything else?
